Open Tournaments

The Hertfordshire 2* U18 Banded & Open Tournament 2012

The HTTA’s third Junior ETTA approved ranking Tournament was held at the Barnet Table Tennis Centre in Barnet Lane on the 25th February 2012. The tournament was well represented with entries far afield as Somerset. The tournament was enjoyed by all the players and the winners and runner-up getting trophies and cash prizes. There were also trophies and cash prizes for the Good sportsmanship ward in both tournaments.

The Girls Banded winner Eda Aydin and runner-up Sophie Tofalides swapped places for the Open with a determined Sophie Tofalides snatching the Winners trophy and prize money and Eda Aydin being the runner-up.

Danny Lewis was the Runner-up in the Boys Banded and Isaac Beevor was the Runner-up in the Boys Open. Adam Reed was the winner of the Boys Banded and Boys Open Tournament and walked away with the trophies and prize money of (Ł20+ Ł40)Ł60.

The HTTA’s second Junior ETTA approved ranking Tournament was held at the Barnet TTC in Barnet Lane on the 15th January 2011.The boys results are below, the Girls Tournament was cancelled due to low numbers.

The 2* Banded Winner was Lawrence SWEENEY and runner up was Danny LAWRENCE

The 2* Open Winner was Lawrence SWEENEY and runner up was Tom Baines (HERTS)

The Hertfordshire 2* U18 Banded & Open Tournament 2010

The HTTA’s first Junior ETTA approved ranking Tournament was held at the Barnet TTC in Barnet Lane on the 30th January 2010. All the players commented on the excellent playing conditions with 25mm tables and enclosed net courts. In addition to the trophies for the winners and runners up there were cash prizes, there were also Good Sportmanship awards in both Banded and Open Tournaments to encourage fair play.
