The Junior activities are run by the HCJTTT (Hertfordshire County Junior Table Tennis Trust ) which is a non -profit making organisation.
The HCJTTT Mission statement ; To provide for the benefit of the Public, the Education of Children & Young Persons who are attending schools or universities in Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas, by promoting, assisting and providing them with fitness and specialist training which will encourage them to play table tennis and reach their true potential up to International level.
U18 Herts 2* Open Tournament
In January 2010 the HCJTTT held its first U18 Junior 2* Open Tournament which allowed a limited quota of boys and girls in the region to particpate in a local U18 ETTA ranked competition.
Future Plans
The HCJTTT will continue to host the U18 Junior 2* Open Tournament in Hertfordshire and subject to funding use a bigger venue and invite all Junior & Cadet players in Hertfordshire (schools or clubs)and the surrounding areas to participate in the Tournament.
The HCJTTT also has plans (subject to funding) to run training sessions for the following groups within the region;
- overweight young people
- unfit youngsters
- players with disabilities.
- Girls.
- members of ethnic minority groups.
- people from socially excluded communities.
- people from financially constrained families
The HCJTTT has also hosted a “Come & Try Table Tennis Exhibition and Coaching Day” on the 15th May 2011 to encourage people of all ages to embrace a sport that can be played all year round. See the Junior section for future events.
Try Table Tennis Exhibition and Coaching Day” organised by the HCJTTT on Sunday 15th May 2011
The “Try Table Tennis Exhibition and Coaching Day” jointly organised by the HCJTTT and the SLTTCC at STAGs Sports Hall on Sunday 15th May 2011 sponsored by the N.W. London Community Foundation was a hugh success.
The event was opened by the HCJTTT Treasurer John Spiers who introduced the table tennis stars for the event,which was run by GVT Table Tennis.

The first part was general coaching to all ages on the tables and the stars gave their personal attention to all attendees.
The second part was set aside for exhibition matches.

The third part was dedicated to U19 coaching, with 2 tables set aside for individual multiball.



The event finally concluded at 4.20pm with Tim Yarnall giving a brief thank you to all who were involved, helpers coaches and stars alike.
